Welcome to Lake Placid Baptist Church!

Sharing Christ With The World!

We believe that God answers prayer, and we want to pray for you.

The Bible says, “Don’t worry about anything, but in everything, with prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses every thought, will guards your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7)

Thank you for sharing your requests with us. Leave your prayer request or praise report in the Comments section below and we will pray for you!

Most people share their prayer request through our Facebook page.

What is PrayerWalking?  One simple definition: “Praying on-site with insight” The purpose of prayer walking is to seek God’s guidance, mercy, favor, and transforming power for our community and for ourselves as God’s people.  We are putting feet to our prayers, praying within the proximity of places and people in our village.  We certainly can pray without physically being there but there is power in nearness.

As some of you may know, I run a family, licensed, day care out of our home in Bloomingdale. We found out yesterday that my family of 3 (that I have had in care here for 3 years) will no longer be needing me as their mom has changed hours at work so she can be home with her children herself. While this is great news for them…its a huge financial hit for us. Please pray that God fills their place here with more little ones soon…very soon. Thank you!

Your continued prayer for my sister Gaile, who just lost her husband Steve, would be great as well. She is a born again Christian (as was Steve) so she is comforted knowing that he is with God…but her heart is just broke and shes having a difficult time. They had been married for 38 years. They also have 4 children and 3 grandchildren who are having a difficult time too. Please keep them all in your prayers. Thank you!
